TOPIC 2-Goal setting



WHAT ARE GOALS ?

The end toward which direct our effort.
Things we want to achieve. 
Things we aim for as we pursue a certain course of action.


SETTING GOALS FOR THE NEW SEMESTER 




📌Set  the strategies to achieve the goals during 1-3 weeks of this coming semester.

📌Willing to change in order to achieve the goals.
📌Always made your academic goals your priority. 




SPECIFIC- A specific goal should clearly state what you want to accomplish, why it is an important goal, and how you intend to accomplish the goal. 

MEASURABLE- Include clear criteria to measure  your progress. At the end of your study session, you will be able to determine whether you did what you planned to do. 

ACHIEVABLE- Goals should be achievable. You begin to figure out ways you can make them come true.

REALISTIC- Make goals that are important to you and your lifestyle. 

TIME BASED- Goals need to have limited time frame. Set specific time/deadlines to complete your goals. Also avoid using words like try, think, hope,  and should when you describe your goals. 

ACADEMIC GOALS vs PERSONAL GOALS 

🔰Academic goals relate to your course work like going to class, completing assignment  and preparing for exam.
🔰Personal goals does not relate with academic goal such as making new friends, participating in sport activities and doing your laundry. 




5 EFFECTIVE GOALS STATEMENTS

🔔Write down what you want to accomplish. 
🔔Write down ant obstacle.
🔔Write down any resources available to you. 
🔔Review and revise your  tentative goal statement. 
🔔Polish your goal statement. 


🎊My goal is, i want to get a good GPA such as 3.50 and above and get deanevery semester. Also i want get grace NAIB CHANSELOR(ANC).
